Hardy Access Services were asked to provide a scaffolding in Clitheroe to enable restoration works to be carried out on the Pinnacle in the grounds of Clitheroe castle. The pinnacle was originally part of the houses of parliament and as such, the restoration works needed were of a very delicate and intricate nature.

Temperature had to be constant and works had to be carried out without interruptions from the weather. A free standing, fully boarded working scaffold was erected, an external buttresses and ballast was designed for stability, with waterproof sheeting and a temporary roof cover being erected around the scaffold. A heavy duty lifting beam was also incorporated at high level to aid in the manoeuvre of the large masonry sections.
